"All my dogs love it" 2010-09-02
By Robert F. Davis (Brooklyn Park, MN)
My dogs enjoy this food. It has a good, fresh smell. Kibble size is appropriate for all dog sizes. Ingredients read nice and they work well in conjunction with my dog's digestion. The Blue Buffalo Adult Chicken and Brown Rice recipe is in my rotation of processed dog foods.

My dogs are not fed kibble exclusively. They also get raw meaty bones *uncooked* and green tripe for support of periodontal health, which in turns saves money by not having to go to the vet for annual teeth cleanings!

"My dogs were VERY unhappy." 2010-08-31
By Aldhelm
This dog food sounded terrific. I read all about it and thought that I would get some for my girls (a terrier mix and a spaniel mix). After all, I want only the best for them, and the ingredients sound fantastic. The problem is that my girls HATED it! I tried everything. First I mixed it with their old food, but they ate around the Blue, eating only the old food and leaving the Blue behind. Then I tried mixing it with moist food, but they ate only the moist. I tried mixing it with cheese, and they ate only the cheese. I wondered if, just maybe, they were unsure about what to do with the mixtures, so I cleaned their bowls and gave them only Blue. They still wouldn't eat it.

Let me be clear about that: they had 24 hours of just the Blue, and they didn't eat any. Given the choice between starving and eating Blue, my girls chose to go hungry.

Maybe my girls are just odd. Maybe they were uncomfortable with change. I don't know how to explain it, but the fact is that my two dogs detested the Blue. We wound up throwing it away, which is sad.

"best dry dog food out there" 2010-08-30
By cory
my dog and my mother's dog absolutely love this food. it is all natural without all the major by products that most dry dog foods contain. we also use the can food. we used to use science diet dry dog food but this is so much better for your dog. i would highly recommend this brand name let alone this one product to everyone for any kind of animal because they do make food for cats, etc.

"Thumbs-Up from Our Dog, and From Her Owners Who Have to Clean up After Her!" 2010-07-11
By Gilgamesh (New Jersey)
We try out new foods occasionally, but tend to come back to Blue Buffalo Adult Dog Dry Food, Chicken and Rice Recipe.

It isn't the priciest dog food out there, and it isn't the most inexpensive either. It seems just about right for our budget. With the money we save on it, we buy Blue wet food and mix it in with the dry food (about a quarter to half a can) to give our dog some variety and a little bit more enjoyment out of the meal.

One of the problems we had with high protein brands like Evo is that she was having a difficult time digesting. I suppose we wouldn't notice if we didn't have to try and pick up after her! Of all the brands we've tried (Orijen, Lotus, Evo, Natural Balance, Ziwi, etc.) this one works the best for us.

"5 star dog food" 2010-05-19
By Yen (TX)
I don't know why reviewers gave this dog food 4 stars without giving any sort of reason as to why. I guess the only negative thing I can think of is the price tag. My dog is allergic to the food dye in other "cheaper" brands of dog food. I did alot of research and tried out alot of organic brands without byproducts or food dyes (or anything bad for a dogs diet for that matter)

This is by far the best dog food you could give your dog. Highly recommended for dogs with or without finicky stomachs.
