"Terrible dog food" 2010-06-30
By J. Le (San Jose, CA)
What a farce. A product labeled as wholesome with chicken, rice, and vegetables should have those as the main ingredients. This does NOT. Its first ingredient is corn, a hard to digest ingredient for dogs. Meat and bone meal is the second, which can potentially include dead, dying, diseased, and disabled animals. And while you hope most of the meat is from cows, sheep, etc, it might even be cats and dogs as there is no stipulation against such. Do not be blinded by the pretty imagery and lingo. This is a terrible dog food.

"Unhealthy for all dogs" 2009-12-23
By Mark Anthony (Hawaii)
Supposed to be a tasty meal of Chicken, Rice & Vegetables. However, look at the ingridients, the main ingridients are Corn products which is unhealthy for all dogs. The 'rice' and 'chicken' are by-products which is a lowgrade 'meat leftovers'. The so called vegetables portions are 'Carrot Powder'. This product is not a healthy option for your dog and should not be on your short list.

Your dog might love eating it, because it's doggy junk food, but it's not healthy for him.

"Umbrella, a mighty big one" 2009-09-02
By Mac G (NC, USA)
Meat, that is. "Meat" is a mighty big umbrella-- the term covers a lot of different creatures. Makes you wonder. And it isn't even the first ingredient-- good dog foods have a solid protein source listed first.
